Introduction

As an experienced Nurse from the NHS or private sector, you'll join the team at Thornford Park in the Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit as a Senior Mental Health Nurse (RMN), working 37.5 hours per week (12.5-hour shifts), where you will change lives for the better.

What you will be doing

As a qualified Senior Mental Health Nurse (RMN), you will ensure people with mental health conditions receive high-quality care, support your colleagues, and promote positive teamwork.

The wards are busy, engaging, and varied. Your daily responsibilities include:

• Providing compassionate nursing care to service users.
• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
• Mentoring and supporting team members.
• Observing, recording, and reporting service user changes and maintaining accurate records.

Skills and knowledge you will have:

• A relevant nursing qualification and registration.
• NMC registration.
• At least 18 months' experience as a Registered Nurse.

Location: Thornford Park, Crookham Hill, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 8ET

Thornford Park comprises medium and low secure units and rehabilitation flats, supporting recovery and rehabilitation through personalized assessment and treatment for males with mental illness, complex needs, or personality disorders, including those with offending histories or previous placement failures.
