Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Liaison and Diversion Practitioner in Manchester. The post covers Greater Manchester Courts and police custody, with flexible working discussions and a pro rata salary between £39,959 and £48,117 per year.

You will screen and assess for mental vulnerability in individuals entering the criminal justice system, working within a multi-disciplinary team to inform charging, sentencing and diversion, and to facilitate timely

Qualifications

• Registered professional with relevant healthcare registration.
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Knowledge of CPA, MHA, MCA and Equality Act 2010.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior duty as per rota.
• Improve identification and screening of mental vulnerability in children and adults.
• Facilitate assessments in line with CPA, MHA, MCA and local pathways.
• Share information with Criminal Justice decision makers.
• Support access to health and social care for individuals in contact with the criminal justice system.
• Contribute to risk management and reducing stigma in care settings.
