Job summary

ExTrac is seeking a Senior Analyst to cover the MENA region, working daily in Arabic to understand political and security developments. You will translate Arabic sources, lead analytical reporting, and develop regional expertise while mentoring junior analysts.

You will contribute to data curation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help integrate AI-assisted workflows to improve output quality and speed.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Arabic (MSA and dialects) and English.
• Strong analytical reporting skills and ability to translate complex data into clear assessments.
• Experience mentoring junior analysts and leading small teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intelligence collection and analysis across MENA for political and security developments.
• Lead daily, weekly, monthly, flash, and deep-dive analytical reporting.
• Translate and assess Arabic-language documents and sources.
• Develop subject-matter expertise across designated countries and actors.
• Advise on data curation and taxonomy for ExTrac research ecosystem.
• Support team leadership with QA of outputs and mentoring.
• Incorporate AI-assisted workflows where they improve analysis.
