Job summary

ExTrac is seeking a Senior Analyst for the MENA region, focused on political and security developments. You will work in Arabic daily, turning dialectal and Modern Standard Arabic content into timely, evidence-based reporting for ExTrac's intelligence products and data platform.

You will lead analytical reporting cycles, translate Arabic materials, and build subject-matter expertise across countries and actors while mentoring junior analysts and influencing data taxonomy and research frameworks.

Qualifications

• Fluency in written Arabic (MSA and dialects) and ability to translate Arabic-language content.
• Experience applying structured analytical methodologies to complex information environments.
• Strong written communication with a track record of concise, policy-relevant outputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to daily/weekly/monthly reports on MENA and VEOs.
• Translate and assess Arabic documents and source material.
• Mentor junior analysts and support QA of outputs.
• Develop subject-matter expertise across designated countries and themes.
• Contribute to data taxonomy and source curation for the region.
