Job summary

IN2 is seeking a Junior Research Analyst based in Erbil, with responsibility for researching socio-political, security, and economic topics relevant to the MENA region. You will monitor open-source media and synthesize findings for stakeholders and senior management.

The role requires native English skills, strong report writing, and the ability to present information clearly. Recent graduates in Political Science/IR are encouraged to apply; relocation to Erbil is expected.

Qualifications

• Native English language skills; strong written English/Arabic and editing experience.
• Exceptionally strong report-writing skills.
• In-depth knowledge of and/or prior experience working on socio-political, security and economic topics in the MENA region.
• Strong academic background in research and analysis; ability to critically assess sources.
• Comfortable synthesising research findings and presenting information clearly to peers and seniors.
• OSINT experience preferred.
• Recent grad with a research background in Political Science/International Relations/similar related field.
• Interest in complex social problems in the MENA region.
• Team player with ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
• Additional regional linguistic capabilities are desirable but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide ad-hoc support to Research Analysts, Research Portfolio Leads, Head of Research and Analysis and IN2 business development colleagues as required.
