Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America is seeking an Associate Director, Medical Strategy (Prostate Cancer) to lead medical strategy for prostate cancer projects. The role partners with Medical Affairs leadership and cross-functional teams to drive strategic plans, data generation, and external engagement.

You will manage publication plans, communications, and education initiatives, while ensuring compliance and alignment with brand priorities and regulatory expectations. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in scientific or healthcare-related field required.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in pharma/biotech/Life Sciences.
• Medical Affairs experience required; oncology experience preferred.
• Experience supporting medical strategy, publications, evidence generation or field medical collaboration preferred.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a compliant, regulated environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as medical director for assigned prostate cancer projects with leadership in collaboration with senior Medical Affairs leadership.
• Develop Medical Affairs strategic plans aligned with brand imperatives and external insights.
• Coordinate Medical Affairs activities with external partners and internal cross-functional teams.
• Provide medical input into development and execution of Medical Affairs plans and platforms.
• Engage with scientific experts and key opinion leaders to support project goals and knowledge exchange.
• Contribute to investigator-initiated and collaborative research programs and budget planning.
