Job summary

Hiscox UK is seeking a senior Medical Malpractice underwriter to manage and grow schemes portfolios across the healthcare, beauty and wellbeing sectors in the UK. You will collaborate with Med Mal and Schemes teams to identify opportunities, write complex business and maintain broker relationships.

The role requires strong underwriting judgment, stakeholder management, and the ability to travel between York, London and Colchester offices.

Qualifications

• Strong Medical Malpractice underwriting experience.
• Experience with schemes business or delegated authority arrangements is advantageous.
• ACII qualified or actively working towards qualification.
• Degree or equivalent insurance qualifications valued.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to brokers and write complex business.
• Manage and grow the Schemes portfolio in Healthcare, Beauty and Wellbeing sectors.
• Collaborate with Med Mal and Schemes teams and drive profitable growth.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to underwriting strategy.
• Travel between York, London and Colchester and to broker meetings as needed.
