Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to perform planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment. You will troubleshoot faults, apply safety procedures, and work with teams to meet production KPIs.

A strong mechanical background with an apprenticeship and HNC is preferred, with weekday days plus 1-in-4 week callouts. You will join a heavy industry maintenance team, focusing on preventing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring compliant operations

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Assist with screening and actioning non-breakdown work requests and troubleshoot faults.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental rules and Group procedures.
• Research and implement innovative solutions to improve maintenance efficiency.
• Coordinate with spare parts to control costs and ensure timely service.
• Carry out building maintenance tasks or supervise external resources when required.
