Job summary

Borne Resourcing Limited is seeking an Experienced Mechanical Supervisor for a freelance assignment in Brighton. You will oversee like-for-like boiler replacements, pump installations, and complex pipework within a high-occupancy hospitality environment at Amex Brighton Stadium.

The role requires strong knowledge of hydronic systems, plant rooms, BMS interfaces, and contractor supervision to maintain service continuity. Immediate start possible.

Qualifications

• SSSTS and CSCS card are essential.
• Strong background in commercial pipefitting and industrial plumbing.
• Direct experience with boiler replacements in commercial plant rooms.
• Fluent understanding of hydronic flow, direct vs reverse returns, secondary pumps and controls.

Responsibilities

• Plant Room Upgrade: supervise like-for-like boiler replacements and new pump sets in operational plant rooms.
• System Modifications: oversee pipework changes and ensure correct reverse return layouts.
• Valves & Controls: manage heavy-duty commercial valve configurations and zone controls.
• H&S & Co-ordination: supervise contractors and ensure safe work in sensitive areas.
• BMS & Commissioning: coordinate with BMS upgrades and commissioning of new boilers.
• Site Supervision: act as onsite supervisor, manage safety and liaise with hotel management.
