Job summary

MK Search is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for Edinburgh to lead mechanical installation on commercial fit-out, retail and pharmaceutical projects. You will manage trades, supervise HVAC and piping works, and ensure compliance with drawings and safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising mechanical installations on building services projects.
• Strong understanding of drawings and specifications for M&E works.
• Ability to coordinate with other trades and manage subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical installation works across multiple projects
• Manage direct labour, trades teams and specialist subcontractors
• Oversee HVAC, pipework, plumbing and associated mechanical services
• Ensure installations are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications
• Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, architectural and other packages
• Monitor programme, productivity and quality of works
• Carry out site inspections and ensure works meet required standards
• Maintain high standards of health & safety across site
• Attend site and coordination meetings
• Identify and resolve installation issues
• Assist with testing, commissioning and project handover
• Report progress to the Mechanical Project Manager/Construction Manager
