Job summary

CDM Recruitment Ltd in Leeds is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor / Site Manager for a permanent role on a range of commercial, education and office development projects. You will oversee live site works, coordinate with the project team and manage subcontractors to deliver high standards.

The ideal candidate has M&E supervisory experience, strong communication skills and holds SSSTS/SMSTS accreditation. On-site leadership and H&S emphasis are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or Site Manager within M&E.
• Strong site-based supervisory background on commercial projects.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential).
• Organised, reliable, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical installation works on a live construction site.
• Work closely with the wider project management team to ensure successful delivery.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and assist with coordination.
• Support pre-construction and design input where required.
• Assist with site H&S compliance and documentation.
• Oversee and mentor site teams, including apprentices.
