Job summary

Luton Borough is seeking a Senior Mechanical Services Engineer to lead mechanical design across a range of building projects in the Luton area. You will work with the Building Services Engineering Manager and PDD team to ensure designs are technically sound, sustainable and aligned with programme and budget goals.

The role requires experience in CAD/BIM, contract administration and building services design, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering and managing complex building services projects.
• Knowledge of Part L1/L2 requirements and Building Control processes.
• Ability to prepare documentation to support design and planning submissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design on projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers.
• Deliver sustainable mechanical systems for new and existing buildings.
• Ensure designs meet regulations, sustainability and budget targets.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, design reports and tender docs.
• Assist with budget and schedule management for delivery goals.
