Job summary

Heated Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead projects from initial enquiry to handover in Dartford. You will price works, survey sites and manage boiler room and plantroom refurbishments, coordinating materials, subcontractors and directly employed engineers.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in mechanical/M&E project environments.
• Ability to survey and price mechanical projects independently.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage project margins.
• Experience delivering works in live or occupied client environments.
• Proven client-facing skills and ability to develop repeat business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and quotations including pipework, materials, equipment and labour.
• Deliver boiler room and plantroom replacements and refurbishments.
• Manage chiller, VRV/VRF and AHU replacement/refurbishment projects.
• Procure materials, equipment and specialist subcontractors.
• Manage directly employed engineers/fitters throughout project delivery.
• Take commercial ownership from estimate to completion.
• Monitor costs, margins and variations; report to management.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
• Develop client relationships and identify additional works.
