Job summary

CJS Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee mechanical building services projects across the South and South East of England within a facilities management environment. You will be responsible from planning through commissioning and handover, coordinating site teams, subcontractors and clients to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

The role requires a strong mechanical building services background, solid project management capability

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Mechanical Project Manager or similar mechanical building services role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, heating, ventilation, plumbing and pipework.
• Experience managing budgets, programmes, resources and subcontractors.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements in construction or facilities management.
• Strong commercial awareness with cost control and variation management.
• Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and resolve issues effectively.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South and South East.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical projects from initial planning and mobilisation through to completion, commissioning and handover.
• Oversee mechanical installations, upgrades, refurbishments and related building services works.
• Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, forecasts and resource plans.
• Coordinate engineers, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers for efficient delivery.
• Monitor progress against timescales and budgets, addressing issues and mitigating risks.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and client requirements.
• Manage procurement, materials, subcontractor performance and variations.
• Maintain strong client relationships with regular progress updates.
