Job summary

Heated Mechanical Services Ltd in Dartford is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our pre-construction and estimating team. You will prepare detailed mechanical estimates and tenders for a range of building services projects, collaborating with design, commercial and project teams.

The role covers education, healthcare, commercial, living and leisure sectors, with a focus on accuracy, value engineering and timely submissions.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator or Senior Mechanical Estimator.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services.
Experience estimating commercial building services projects.
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
Strong understanding of labour, material, plant and subcontractor costs.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed mechanical estimates and tenders from initial enquiry through to submission.
Review drawings, specifications, schedules and tender documentation.
Produce accurate material, labour, plant and subcontractor costs.
Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and specialist subcontractors.
Identify risks, exclusions, qualifications and commercial opportunities.
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and consultants throughout the tender process.
Work closely with design and pre-construction teams to develop cost-effective solutions.
Attend tender meetings and site visits where required.
