Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead the mechanical engineering delivery across high-profile building projects in central London, ensuring design development, procurement, modelling, installation, testing and commissioning meet the project brief and Building Safety Act requirements.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, designers and subcontractors, applying technical expertise and strong problem-solving to deliver safe, efficient and compliant M&E systems

Qualifications

• Solid technical understanding of mechanical building services within an M&E environment, including HVAC, pipework and related systems.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly, producing well‑structured RFIs, reports and written correspondence.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, drawings, procurement activities and site issues.
• Practical problem‑solving mindset, able to analyse issues quickly and propose workable solutions.
• Collaborative approach, working effectively with electrical teams, subcontractors, suppliers and wider project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical engineering delivery across the project lifecycle, including design development, procurement, modelling, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Ensure delivery in line with project brief, specification, statutory requirements and Building Safety Act.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, construction teams, design consultants and subcontractors to meet project milestones.
• Provide technical leadership and assurance across the mechanical scope of works.
