Job summary

We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to joinour Kier Mechanical & Electrical team based on a large scale project in the Custodial sector.

Location: Shaftesbury, Dorset
Hours: Full time, Permanent- some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be working within the Kier Mechanical & Electrical team, supporting them in delivering effective mechanical project engineering services to ensure projects are fully compliant, on budget and on time. Your day to day will include:

• Reviewing designs with design teams and clients to ensure they are optimised for efficient and safe construction
• Managing robust change control processes and overseeing risk and opportunity
• Implementing and managing quality control procedures in line with Kier Standards
• Providing leadership and guidance to project team members, setting clear expectations and offering feedback
• Ensuring all works are procured, planned and carried out safely in accordance with Kier standards and UK law
