Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join Kier Design, based in Liverpool or London. You will lead mechanical design for large, complex construction projects, collaborating with clients, architects and contractors to deliver sustainable, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.

You will manage the mechanical design team, drive innovation from concept through construction, and ensure delivery of high-quality designs aligned with project brief and building codes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, and member of CIBSE or IET.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered
• Experienced in your discipline with a high level of knowledge
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts to a wider business audience
• Experienced in applying quality procedures and document control in engineering design

Responsibilities

• As a SeniorMechanical Engineer, you'll be working within the Mechanical team, supporting them in delivering mechanical design for large, complex construction projects.
• You'll lead the mechanical design team, integrate different disciplines, and drive innovation for high-value projects, ensuring sustainable, compliant, and cost-effective design delivery from concept through to construction.
• Working collaboratively with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders, you'll bridge client needs with engineering reality whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
