Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Mechanical for Data Centres in Ireland and the UK. You will own design delivery from concept to completion, leading HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, fire protection and piping system design across mission-critical data centre projects.

The role requires 8+ years in building services, with 3+ years in data centres, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and Chartered status or progress towards Chartership.

Responsibilities

Data centre demand is surging, and this leading M&E consultancy is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of design delivery from concept to completion.

• Work in one of the strongest, fastest-growing markets in engineering, with a deep pipeline of mission-critical projects
• Lead design and specification of HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, fire protection and piping systems
• Manage large and medium-scale data centre projects, including scope, budgets and resources
• Act as key client contact, liaising with contractors and vendors
• Mentor junior engineers and drive quality assurance and innovation
• 8+ years’ building services experience, with 3+ in data centre or mission-critical environments
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and Chartered or working towards Chartership
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP and Bluebeam; IES/HAP knowledge an advantage
• Strong knowledge of CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS and EN standards
