Job summary

Kier Group plc. is delivering a major mechanical package on the Thames Water Mogden project. The Senior Mechanical Package Engineer will lead mechanical design from inception through to on-site completion, ensuring budget, schedule and HSE compliance while coordinating with supply chain partners.

The role includes CDM compliance checks, collaboration with design partners, procurement oversight, and mentoring graduate engineers on large wastewater schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mechanical design from inception to completion.
• CDM compliance and constructability review experience.
• Experience delivering large wastewater schemes.
• Strong ability to mentor graduate engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering from inception to completion, liaising with supply chain.
• Collaborate with design partners to ensure CDM compliance and constructability, including outputs review/approval.
• Procurement management of plant, materials and subcontractors with commercial team.
• Chair and attend HAZOP events; maintain design risk registers; compile final contract docs.
• Mentor and develop graduate mechanical engineers on the Mogden project.
