Job summary

Pin Point Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor for a busy industrial operation in West Thurrock, Essex. The role leads a team of around 15 maintenance professionals, ensuring safe, reliable operation of plant and equipment.

The candidate will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, manage KPIs and backlogs, and collaborate with other departments to minimize disruption while maintaining compliance with HSE standards.

Qualifications

• Requires proven experience leading ~15 maintenance team members.
• Strong mechanical maintenance knowledge in process/industrial settings.
• Experience managing KPIs and maintenance backlogs.
• Good communication with multiple departments and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~15 mechanical maintenance professionals.
• Control backlog in line with KPIs.
• Review backlog daily/weekly/monthly.
• Produce reports on work completed and performance.
• Ensure work is logged in CMMS and reporting systems.
• Ensure compliance with PSSR, PUWER, LOLER.
• Schedule preventive maintenance within timescales.
• Identify plant improvements and manage through MOC.
• Provide cover for Maintenance Manager.
• Conduct quarterly development reviews.
• Manage external service contractors on site.
• Collaborate with other departments to minimize disruption.
