Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Estates & Maintenance professional to assist the Operational Management team with reactive, planned preventative and scheduled maintenance services across CUH premises, including off-site properties. You will focus on statutory compliance, staff management, and ensuring the estate is operated safely and efficiently.

The role involves liaising with contractors, monitoring performance, and supporting continuous improvement

Qualifications

• HNC Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Health Technical Memoranda.
• Authorised Person per Department of Health Guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Mechanical Hospital Engineer by monitoring the condition of estates and assets and advising on inspection frequencies.
• Monitor outsourced contracts against specifications, success criteria and user views; ensure service meets the specification.
• Review and update the Trust's planned and reactive maintenance system.
• Liaise with clients and contractors; arrange orders for plant, equipment and spares as necessary.
• Maintain statutory and general records of engineering plant and services per Health and Safety at Work Act and related requirements.
