Job summary

Group Metropolitan Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join its Commercial team in the UK. The role focuses on delivering accurate, competitive estimates for complex mechanical building services, including plant relocations and data centre projects.

You will own the estimating process from tender enquiry to final submission, mentor the Junior Mechanical Estimator, and collaborate with clients, suppliers and project managers to ensure profitable, compliant bids.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Estimator in construction/building services.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, plantrooms and mechanical infra.
• Experience with plant relocations, data centres or critical environments.
• Experience managing tenders from enquiry to submission.
• Knowledge of tendering principles, risk, value engineering and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Lead full mechanical estimating process from tender enquiry to final submission.
• Prepare detailed cost plans, bills of quantities and pricing schedules.
• Assess labour, material and subcontractor requirements with accuracy.
• Mentor the Junior Mechanical Estimator and drive continuous improvement.
