Bimplus in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a growing M&E team. The role involves handling containments installation tenders, producing precise take-offs and installation times, and using estimating software to capture prime costs.

You will vet suppliers, coordinate with subcontractors, and maintain market awareness to ensure competitive bids. A hybrid arrangement is available for the right candidate, reflecting the project scale and regional focus.

Qualifications

• Detailed tenders including installation times.
• Accurate take-offs / measurements for tenders.
• Experience using estimating software to understand prime cost.
• Vet suppliers and obtain quotes from subcontractors.
• Able to price competitively with market awareness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed tenders for M&E projects (£10M-£20M+).
• Produce accurate take-offs and installation times.
• Review projects after completion to inform future bids.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers on quotations.
