Job summary

Build Recruitment are working with a leading engineering business seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator from Intermediate through to Senior level in the South West/Bris tol base, with remote working.

You will prepare estimates and tenders for Mechanical projects, review drawings, and collaborate with work-winning, engineering and commercial teams to deliver competitive bids across MOD, MOJ, NHS and industrial sectors. 5+ years of relevant experience required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical estimating for large-scale projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Excel and IT tools.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.

Build Recruitment are working with a leading engineering business who are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator, from Intermediate through to Senior level.

You’ll join an established work-winning team, providing accurate and commercially competitive pricing across a range of major projects within MOD, MOJ, NHS, industrial and commercial sectors.

The Role

Prepare estimates and tenders for Mechanical projects.

Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

Work closely with the work-winning, engineering and commercial teams.

Identify risks, opportunities and potential cost savings.

Support bids from initial enquiry through to submission.

Manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively.

About You

Previous experience within Mechanical Estimating.

Strong knowledge of Mechanical building services.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Good Excel and IT skills.

Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Experience with major projects would be advantageous.

What's on offer: £50,000–£75,000 depending on experience, car allowance on top, plus remote working. The role can be based across the South West, with Bristol as the office base.
