Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the technical delivery of mechanical design across water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the UK. You will guide feasibility, option designs, detailed design, construction support and commissioning, delivering safe, efficient and sustainable solutions.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with clients, project managers and supply chain partners, and help grow Stantec's North West Water capability through technically excellent

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• CEng or IEng chartered status is preferred.
• Strong experience delivering detailed mechanical design in the UK water sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design across water and wastewater projects from concept to commissioning.
• Produce and review technical calculations, specs and engineering documents.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence within the team.
• Work with clients, PMs, contractors and supply chain to deliver outcomes.
• Support framework delivery, improvements and business development.
