Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the South West and Wales Water team, with flexibility to be based in Exeter, Bristol or Cardiff. You will contribute to multi-billion-pound capital programmes across the UK water sector, delivering projects from small rural sites to major infrastructure and non-infrastructure schemes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Progress towards Chartered Engineer status with a recognised institution (e.g., IMechE).
• Knowledge of pump station design, piping design, valve selection and hydraulics.
• Proven ability to deliver engineering designs, reports, drawings, specifications and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Produce feasibility studies, outline and detailed designs, and construction support.
• Produce design drawings, mechanical plant selection and specifications.
• Collaborate with water discipline teams nationwide (civil, electrical, process, mechanical).
• Deliver high-quality designs within budget and programme, support bids and client liaison.
