L3Harris Technologies in Brighton is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and integration of release systems. You will drive mechanical architectures, ensure compliance with standards, and coordinate multi-disciplinary activities to meet programme goals.

The role requires strong CAD experience, lifecycle thinking, and proven delivery of complex engineering tasks in a regulated environment. Hybrid working and a move to a new Brighton site are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with relevant experience.
• Delivery of engineering programmes and technically robust solutions.
• Experience interpreting mechanical requirements across lifecycle.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical design input to mechanical architectures and work packages with accountability for scope and outcomes.
• Contribute to design trade studies and selection of robust solutions.
• Coordinate engineering across disciplines without line management responsibilities.
• Guide design intent and ensure alignment with requirements and lifecycle.
• Assess feasibility against cost, schedule, manufacturability and lifecycle constraints.
• Interface with customers and suppliers to clarify technical requirements.
• Contribute to cost and schedule estimates for programmes.
• Ensure compliance with BS8888, ISO1101 and internal governance.
