Recruit 2 You is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Ripley to lead design of pressure vessels within the energy sector. You will review specifications, run calculations, and ensure compliance with industry codes while collaborating with CAD teams and inspectors.

The role offers progression, a collaborative environment and exposure to global projects. Applicants should have 6+ years of pressure vessel design experience and a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Formación

• Design experience for pressure vessels to EN 13445, ASME VIII Div. 1, PD 5500 or AD 2000.
• Experience using PV Elite, COMPASS, AutoPIPE Vessel or Finglow.
• Ability to check results by hand calculations and explain design basis.
• Knowledge of pressure vessel materials, welding, NDT and pressure testing.
• Familiar with the Pressure Equipment Directive and UK regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Review customer specifications, equipment datasheets, P&IDs and relevant standards.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and inspectors to resolve technical queries.
• Carry out mechanical design calculations for pressure vessels in line with codes.
• Design shell and tube heat exchangers, including tubes sheets and channels.
• Prepare calculation reports and technical documentation for customer approval.
