Job summary

BW Packaging is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop and advance mechanical systems for form/fill/seal packaging machinery. You will lead design efforts, collaborate with customers and internal teams, and drive continuous improvement across projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, a relevant degree, and strong CAD skills (SolidWorks). Occasional travel and hands-on prototyping are expected.

Qualifications

• Education: Bach. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or an Associate’s Degree with 15 years’ experience in engineering/manufacturing/technical position.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering experience with increasing levels of complexity and responsibility.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient in CAD and engineering development, capable of leading projects and communicating with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Design responsibility for individual components to complete integrated machine systems
• Partner with customers and sales executives, other mechanical and electrical design engineers, manufacturing personnel, and customer service technicians
• Research and prepare specifications
• Develop and test prototypes
• Process documentation
• Train other engineers and technicians
• Project reporting, tracking, and organization
• Lead, facilitate, and manage continuous improvement initiatives
• Other responsibilities as needed
