Job summary

Todd Hayes Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a maintenance-focused team for an oil & gas operator in the Southern North Sea. Based in Norwich, the role is a 12-month contract with potential travel to other assets.

The engineer will ensure reliability, availability and operability of mechanical equipment, from piping to gas engines. Key duties include providing discipline-specific support, guiding shutdowns, driving root cause analysis, and helping deliver maintenance strategies

Qualifications

Engineering degree or HNC/HND with 8-10 years’ offshore oil & gas experience.
Operational knowledge of mechanical equipment, maintenance and planning.
Experience in hazardous areas and change management processes.

Responsibilities

Provide mechanical engineering support to Operations, Maintenance, Projects and Integrity.
Offer guidance during shutdowns and outages and drive reliability improvements.
Identify cost-benefit opportunities and coordinate trades for equipment.
Contribute to maintenance strategy, routines and procedures.
Monitor maintenance effectiveness and reduce backlogs through reviews.
