Job summary

Todd Hayes Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our client, a leading independent Oil & Gas operator, to join the Maintenance team in Norwich. The role focuses on reliability and operability of mechanical equipment across offshore and onshore assets with occasional travel to other sites.

You will provide discipline-specific support, guide maintenance planning, and help reduce unplanned outages through root cause analysis, risk assessments, and coordination with multiple trades.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or HNC/HND with experience in offshore oil & gas or regulated industries.
• Operational knowledge of mechanical equipment and maintenance planning.
• Ability to guide management on equipment health and outages.
• Understanding of hazardous areas equipment specifications and Change Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support across Operations, Maintenance, Projects, Metering and Integrity.
• Support during shutdowns and outages with engineering guidance.
• Identify improvement opportunities, plan, assess risk and implement cost-effective actions.
• Prescribe routines and procedures to support maintenance strategy.
• Monitor maintenance needs and reduce backlogs; coordinate trades.
