Job summary

Todd Hayes Ltd is assisting a leading independent Oil & Gas operator to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join their Norwich-based maintenance team on a 12-month contract. The role covers reliability, availability and operability of mechanical equipment across onshore plants and offshore assets in the North Sea vicinity.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or HNC/HND with offshore/mechanical maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment in oil & gas and regulatory standards.
• Ability to plan outages, assess risks, and budget for interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support to Operations, Maintenance and Projects.
• Support during shutdowns and outages with engineering guidance.
• Identify performance improvements to reduce production losses.
• Develop and implement equipment-specific routines and procedures.
• Monitor maintenance effectiveness and manage change requests.
• Procure replacement equipment ensuring compliance with specs.
• Maintain documentation, planning and reporting.
