NUVIA UK in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team supporting regulated facilities and infrastructure. The role focuses on delivering safe, compliant engineering services across nuclear, defence, and energy sectors.

You will author design substantiation, manage changes, advise on technical matters, and help develop maintenance and safety documentation throughout the asset lifecycle.

Formación

• Minimum HNC or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Incorporated Engineer status or equivalent experience.
• Experience with mechanical plant and equipment in safety-critical environments.
• Sound knowledge of British and European design standards.

Responsabilidades

• Author, develop, assess, maintain, and manage design substantiation documentation for infrastructure and assets.
• Prepare, evaluate, and manage engineering design changes, modifications, and concessions.
• Present technical submissions to governance, assurance, and safety review panels.
• Develop and maintain EIMT schedules, procedures, and supporting evidence for compliance.
• Produce periodic safety reviews and associated engineering assurance documentation.
• Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop scopes of work for Independent Technical Assessments (ITA) and Independent Peer Reviews (IPR).
• Apply engineering principles to design, construction, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning of systems in regulated environments.
• Produce robust technical justifications to support modifications and approvals.
• Review and assess technical reports and safety-related submissions.
