Job summary

Harley Haddow in Glasgow is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead and deliver the Mechanical Services design on major projects from concept to completion. You will manage project teams, supervise junior engineers and ensure high quality across design and post-contract stages.

The role requires strong communication with clients and design teams, robust technical knowledge of MEP systems, and the ability to programme, control fees, and drive QA processes within a medium-sized consultancy

Qualifications

• Degree qualified and incorporated/chartered status or working toward chartered status.
• Member of appropriate Institution.
• Strong track record in project management, delivery and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Mechanical Services detail design from concept through to detailed design.
• Manage, plan and programme Mechanical detailed design process.
• Supervise and plan workload for junior engineering staff on projects you are responsible for.
• Ensure that Mechanical Services Detailed output meets quality requirements.
• Provide conduit between design teams, clients and Harley Haddow.
• Ensure project delivery meets deadlines and client’s brief.
