Job summary

ibse is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead Building Services design projects from concept to completion. You will collaborate with clients, architects and engineers, delivering innovative, low-carbon building solutions across healthcare, education and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/building services engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years' experience in a building services consultancy.
• Experience designing mechanical systems across building sectors.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and British Standards.
• Experience using industry-standard design software including Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of building services projects from concept to completion.
• Manage project delivery from feasibility through construction.
• Act as Project Lead on selected commissions.
• Produce and review mechanical calculations, specs and reports.
• Attend design meetings and present to clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Help develop long-term client relationships and win repeat work.
• Deliver innovative, sustainable engineering solutions across projects.
