Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to deliver complex mechanical design solutions within highly regulated industries, including waste handling facilities. You will work with multidisciplinary teams on long-term frameworks and ensure safety, compliance and reliability in plant design.

Applicants should hold a degree in mechanical engineering and have extensive post-graduate experience in regulated sectors such as nuclear, defence, aerospace or energy.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; equivalent experience accepted.
• Extensive post‑graduate experience in highly regulated sectors (nuclear, defence, aerospace, pharma, energy).
• Strong background in design of mechanical equipment and bespoke systems; governance and safety standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Produce and develop mechanical design solutions for complex waste management facilities.
• Support design of lifting systems, material handling equipment, and other mechanical plant in regulated environments.
• Develop storage, transfer and containment systems including tanks and vessels; contribute to safety assessments and design reviews.
