Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to own complex infrastructure design from concept to detail, including drainage, earthworks, and highways for UK projects, with emphasis on regulated environments.

The role requires technical leadership, hands-on Civil 3D/AutoCAD, and eligibility for UK Security Clearance, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with Chartered or near-Chartered status (ICE or equivalent).
• Experience in drainage, earthworks, SUDS, pavements and utilities design for UK projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D and AutoCAD in a design consultancy environment.
• Solid understanding of UK standards and approvals processes (S38, S278, S104).
• Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance for nuclear/defence projects.

Responsibilities

• Take technical responsibility for civil infrastructure design packages from concept through detailed design.
• Coordinate and guide small design teams within multidisciplinary projects.
• Produce, check and approve engineering calculations, drawings and digital models.
• Review third-party and subcontractor design outputs for compliance and quality.
• Provide input into bids, fee proposals and project documentation; mentor junior staff.
