AECOM seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team in Bristol. The role focuses on supporting mechanical design and delivery across infrastructure, energy and building services with high-quality, compliant, innovative solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

You'll engage in cross-functional collaboration, applying HVAC/building services expertise and sustainable design principles, while contributing to education, healthcare and defence-focused projects in the Bristol region

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects across a variety of sectors.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary design teams and successfully delivering complex engineering projects.
• Strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, public health engineering, heating and cooling plant, low-carbon technologies, and sustainable building services design.
• Experience delivering projects within one or more of the following sectors: Education.
• A thorough understanding of Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance, relevant British Standards, European Standards, and industry best practice.
• Strong commercial awareness, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable engineering solutions.

Responsabilités

• Supporting multiple projects and teams with direct design and delivery activities for all phases of a project or a number of projects.
• Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered
• Identifies discrepancies in results
• Provides guidance to trainee engineers
• Performs work in accordance with agreed time frame with supervision
• Contributes to the development of technical proposals
