Job summary

A world-class engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior or Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer to lead on major projects across South Wales, based in Cardiff or Swansea. This is a 12-month contract with flexible/hybrid working and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering (or equivalent). CIBSE/IMechE Chartered status (or actively working towards it) is strongly preferred.
• Proven consultancy experience in a design consultancy or contractor design environment with knowledge of UK standards.
• Hands-on experience with IES, HEVACOMP, NBS, and Revit.
• CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant (LCC) qualification is highly desirable.

• Technical Leadership: Lead mechanical specifications, equipment schedules, and HVAC calculations.
• Project Delivery: Take ownership of project deliverables, manage budgets, and oversee end-to-end design delivery.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Lead client briefings, represent the business at meetings with contractors, and conduct site surveys/progress reviews.
• Digital Engineering: Produce detailed calculations using IES, HEVACOMP, NBS, and Revit in collaboration with global technology centers.
• Mentorship: Assist in the growth and technical development of junior engineers in the team.

Looking to lead impactful building services projects across South Wales? A world-class engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior or Principal Mechanical Contract Engineer to join their growing team in Cardiff and Swansea. This is a 12-month contract offering long-term project stability, flexible/hybrid working, and a highly collaborative team environment.

What We’re Looking For
