Job summary

Search Consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing Building Services consultancy. You will lead design delivery on a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, retail, residential, healthcare and education sectors, taking ownership from concept to completion.

You will engage with clients, coordinate with architects and other disciplines, mentor junior engineers, and ensure projects meet time, budget and UK/EU standards.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical building services design experience.
• Experience across commercial, retail, residential, healthcare and education sectors.
• Experience leading projects and managing client relationships.
• Proficient in Hevacomp, IESVE, AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and delivery of building services projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs, calculations, specifications and reports.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and other design disciplines.
• Attend client meetings and provide technical advice throughout project lifecycles.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing Building Services consultancy, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the commercial, retail, residential, healthcare, and education sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to take ownership of projects, lead design delivery, and work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams on high-profile developments.

The Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading projects from concept through to completion, delivering innovative and sustainable mechanical building services designs. You will play a key role in client engagement, project coordination, and mentoring junior engineers while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

• Lead the mechanical design and delivery of building services projects.

• Strong background working across sectors such as commercial, retail, residential, healthcare, and education.
• Experience leading projects and managing client relationships.
• Proficient in:Hevacomp,IESVE,AutoCAD,Revit (3D)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong technical and problem-solving abilities.
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering preferred; alternative qualifications with relevant experience will also be considered.
