Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Liverpool | Permanent
£45,000 - £55,000 per year

We’re working in partnership with a respected and long-established M&E Consultancy who are looking to appoint a high-calibre Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to their Liverpool-based team.
With over 35 years of project delivery across the healthcare, education, and commercial sectors, this firm offers a genuinely supportive and progressive working environment, ideal for an experienced engineer looking to take the next step.
This opportunity would suit someone with a strong background in Building Services Consultancy; however, applications from Project or Contracts Managers with hands-on design and build experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design on new-build and refurbishment projects from concept to completion.
• Produce high-quality specifications and drawings for:
  
  • Heating
  • Air Conditioning
  • Ventilation Systems
  • Water Services
  • Above Ground Drainage
• Attend and lead design meetings, support site inspections, and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare fee proposals, tender documentation, and client presentations.
• Mentor junior staff and support resource planning across the mechanical team.
• Use of Revit, AutoCAD and IES software in project delivery.

What We’re Looking For

• HNC/Degree-qualified (chartered or working towards chartership preferred).
• Ideally 8+ years’ experience within a building services consultancy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects to deadline with minimal supervision.
• Technically strong, client-facing, and commercially aware.
• Collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in developing others.
