Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager for a permanent role in the North Yorkshire area. You will take ownership of projects from concept through to production, acting as technical authority on mechanical design, DFM/DFA and risk assessments while guiding a team of 4–5 engineers.

You will engage with customers and internal teams, lead NPI programmes, ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement within a hands‑on, senior

Qualifications

• Leadership experience of engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record delivering NPI programmes from concept to manufacture.
• Strong knowledge of 3D CAD, GD&T and design for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands‑on engineering projects and NPI programmes from concept through to manufacture.
• Act as technical authority for mechanical design, DFM/DFA and risk assessments.
• Liaise with customers and cross‑functional teams to ensure quality and delivery.
• Mentor a team of 4–5 engineers and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain a 37.5 hour week, Monday to Friday.
