Job summary

Personnel Selection is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a global technology, engineering and manufacturing group based in Yateley. You will model, create engineering drawings and order prototype parts, working with internal teams to maintain high standards in a defence environment.

The role requires CAD proficiency (SolidWorks or Inventor), BS8888 drawing standards, a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and at least four years' industry experience in product

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years’ industry experience in product development and/or design.
• Experience producing and interpreting engineering drawings to BS8888.
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles and production processes.
• Ability to liaise with suppliers and collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Completing mechanical tasks on projects, including modelling, drawings and ordering prototype parts.
• Delivering high-quality mechanical drawings that meet defence standards.
• Collaborating with internal engineering and project teams to maintain workflow and standards.
