The role

As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you’ll provide point of contact with professional engineering colleagues and stakeholders for discipline-related issues during the design lifecycle. You will contribute to design reviews, ensure coordination, and functionality of designs.

Responsibilities include:

1. Allocating discipline tasks to team members, checking drawings, and ensuring inter-discipline coordination in accordance with standards.
2. Promoting effective cooperation across teams.
3. Managing customer relationships, liaising, and developing new business opportunities.
4. Advising on methods and tools, providing technical assistance.
5. Preparing and producing drawings supporting various design stages, adhering to ISO standards and project requirements.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, based in Warrington, Bristol, Leicester, or Newbury.

Essential Experience

• Open to all engineering backgrounds; nuclear experience not required.
• Experience in detailed design environment.
• Proficiency with CAD tools.
• Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice.
• Incorporated Engineer status.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

Security Clearance
