Job summary

RSE is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead design work within our in-house MEICA team, developing concepts through implementation. You will ensure compliance with client specs and current regulations, while focusing on low-carbon solutions across multiple projects.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, manage design deliverables, and supervise checks and procurement, while driving health, safety and environmental considerations throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a multidisciplinary design team.
• Experience across all design stages is highly desirable.
• Design management experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implantation.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.
• Develop design deliverables.
• Complete checking and approval processes.
• Arrange procurement of goods and services.
• Prepare work scope estimates/quotations.
• Assemble contract works information documents.
• Consider project health and safety, quality, and environmental matters.
• Liaise with all key stakeholders for the projects.
• Implement project change control and programme requirements.
• Take responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects.
