Job summary

Alexander Associates is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to produce and coordinate high-quality mechanical designs for water and wastewater projects. You will work with civil, electrical and process teams to develop practical, cost-effective solutions that comply with current legislation and industry standards.

You will review calculations, specifications and drawings, support 3D plant modeling, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to project delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering mechanical designs for water or wastewater projects.
• Ability to develop practical, economical plant layouts and engineering solutions.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and their application in design.

Responsibilities

• Produce mechanical designs, layouts and plant arrangements that meet technical, commercial and construction requirements.
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables including specifications, calculations, schedules and technical drawings.
• Coordinate mechanical design activities with civil, electrical, process and other disciplines.
• Support development of 3D plant models and integrated design solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with legislation, health and safety requirements and recognised industry standards.
• Deliver outputs within project programmes and budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
