Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take a leading role on water and wastewater projects. Hybrid work arrangement requires a minimum of 3 days per week in office or site, and you will own mechanical design packages from concept to completion, ensuring regulatory, safety and client requirements are met.

You will mentor junior engineers, influence best practice, and drive innovation across projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams during design,

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• CEng status or working towards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Take ownership of designs from concept through to detailed design and delivery.
• Produce and review technical documentation, calculations, and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Conduct and support design reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOPs.
• Provide technical support during procurement, installation and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, HSE requirements and regulations.
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
• Drive innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement across projects.
