Job summary

Arcadis is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our MEICA Water team as we tackle AMP8 programmes across the UK. The role involves leading mechanical design deliverables for water and wastewater assets, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Based in Exeter, you'll engage with clients and delivery partners, drive innovative solutions, and help grow relationships within the water sector.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status (or nearing).
• Extensive experience delivering process plant systems in water/wastewater.
• Experience with design and construct projects using digital design platforms.
• Proven leadership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Self-start and work independently or in a team on mechanical design deliverables.
• Lead or support design and advisory services for water assets.
• Ensure safety through design leadership and actions.
• Deliver technically within a multi-disciplinary team using digital design processes.
• Coordinate with process, civil, structural, electrical teams.
• Build relationships with clients and partners on technical and commercial matters.
• Ensure compliance with standards and environmental objectives.
• Capture knowledge and innovations.
• Promote MEICA team capabilities externally.
