Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to develop fluid systems and work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust designs. You will report to the Turbine Island Lead and contribute across the design lifecycle.

You will create 2D CAD drawings—including PFDs and P&IDs—and prepare 3D CAD/BIM models, plant layouts, piping design and isometrics, while ensuring safety, time and budget adherence. Strong collaboration and quality focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Design Engineer or similar role.
• Ability to work within engineering team to realise designs.
• Familiar with 2D CAD systems (AutoCAD) for drawings.
• Familiar with 3D CAD/BIM systems (Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Siemens NX, PDMS, AutoCAD Plant 3D or similar) for model and drawing creation
• Professional qualification in an engineering related field
• SC Clearance or capable of achieving it
